Consensus from the discussion was that.the Staff ould bring forward <br />a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to designate the land as.kixed.lUse. She indicated Staff is <br />recommending approval of the Comprehensive Plan Amendment. <br />Citizen Input <br />Mike Leary, representing Dennis and Bonnie Co`bey,,indicatedthisi s exactly what they wanted <br />to see. He stated a lot of people think that because the land is betWeen the Highway and the <br />river, mixed use is the best use, and it will give the Planningommission the power to say yea or <br />nay. He indicated they already have studies done on a board and care facility, and support <br />making this mixed use. <br />Adjournment <br />Motion by Commissioner Van Scoy, seconded by Commissioner Brauer to close the public <br />hearing at 7:33 p.m. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Johnson, Commissioners Van Scoy, Brauer, <br />Jeffrey, and Watson. Voting No. None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt and Commissioner <br />Shepherd. .. <br />Commission Business <br />Commissioner Brauer indicatedie is concerned about the river area. He asked if the Scenic <br />River laws would protect the City from having to allow a ten -story condo building. <br />Community Development Director Frolik indicated it would.
