One opponent is also reportedly pursuing the
idea of state legislation mandating a two-mile buffer around schools.
Source: 90.5 WESA; httr: //wesa. fin
UTAH
Representative Rob Bishop (Republican -Utah) is proposing legisla-
tion called the "Grand Bargain" which would "carve out sections of
land for wilderness designations and set up zones where resource
extraction can proceed." Options on the table reportedly include differ-
ing versions of legislation: one that is extremely restrictive for industry;
one that is "middle of the road;" and one that is more "protectionist" of
land resources.
Source: Deseret News; www.deseretnews.com
12 ©2014 Thomson Reuters
