During this past <br />summer, the Ramsey City Council approved the Town Center AUAR environmental <br />review document, adopted a Town Center Zoning District and Map, entered into a <br />development agreement with the developer, approved t. he final plat for the first phase <br />of the Town Center, and approved the site plan for the first tenant of the Town <br />Center, the P.A.C.T. Charter School. <br /> <br />The following is an update on some of the more recent activities taking place as part <br />of the Rarnsey Town Center project: <br /> <br />P,A.C.T. Charter School: The Charter is working on completing its <br />financing to acquire the land for their school and plans to pul1 a building <br />permit to commence construction of the building in the first week of <br />December. Given the late start in the year, the school anticipates that they <br />will have to do a phased opening in August 2004 with the inclusion of <br />temporary buildings on-site for the fa:st 2 ½ months of the school year. The <br />City Council will need to approve the placement of the temporary buildings <br />on the Charter School site. A copy of the approved site plan is attached. <br /> <br />Residential Units: Ramsey Town Center LLC will have D.R. Horton <br />construct approximately 900 of the 2400 housing units to be located in the <br />Town Center. D.R. Horton has provided the City with a sketch plan of their <br />first phase; 94 townhomes and condominiums. D.R. Horton will be <br />presenting the sketch plan to the December 4th Planning Commission and is <br />looking for final approvals in February/March 2004. A copy of the proposed <br />sketch plan and the area that D.R. Horton will develop is attached. <br /> <br />· Town Center Parks: Under the Town Center Development Agreement, a <br /> 90-day window was given for the City and the Developer to reach an <br /> <br /> <br />
