Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING FIRE INSPECTOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has approved the 2004 budget which includes a new <br />building inspector position to make the half fire inspector/half building inspector into two <br />separate full time positions to accommodate the growing workload in Building <br />Inspections and the need for increased staff time for the Fire Inspection/Fire Prevention <br />program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, city staff has conducted a recruitment process and is recommending <br />Andrew Schreder for the position of Building Inspector this evening; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, JetTy Streich has served in the position of Fire/Building Inspector <br />since 1991 and is a Captain on the Ramsey Fire Department; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, city staff is recommending Jerry Streich be appointed to the position <br />of full-time Fire Inspector. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Persormel Committee to appoint Jerry Streich to the position of full-time Fire <br />Inspector <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That there is no change in pay classification for this position. All other personnel <br />policies will apply normally. Mr. Streich will transition to the Fire Inspector <br />position during the month of January, 2004. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 13th day of January, 2004. <br /> <br />-234- <br /> <br /> <br />
