FUTURE CONDITIONS ANALYSIS
Overall delay within the corridor is projected to increase from the projected total with improvements in 2013 but
to a level less than the existing conditions for the evening rush hour. Eastbound traffic is driving the increase
compared to 2013 traffic volumes and improved intersections due to the capacity limitations for southbound left
turning vehicles at Thurston.
Other congested areas seen in the traffic model include but are not limited to the TH 47 at Bunker Lake Blvd.
signal and northbound TH 169 and northbound Main St. approaching Highway 10. These congested areas are
limiting the number of vehicles entering Highway 10. If these bottlenecks are removed/addressed, likely delays
on Highway 10 will increase as the number of vehicles on the highway increases.
HIGHWAY 10 ACCESS PLANNING STUDY 73
