Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reiwann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />C. Review 1986 Cit_v _Operational Budaet And Adopt Tax Levy_: <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Heitman and seconded by Council~ber Sorteberg to approve of <br />adopting Resolution #85-206 approving the 1985 tax levy collectable in 1986 and <br />corresponding with the figures contained in the 3rd column of information sheet <br />dated October 22, 1985 from Finance Officer Graczyk. (Please refer to <br />resolution file for Resolution #85-206). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Graczyk stated that his recommendation to r~ain, at <br />the very least, at the current levy limit and not going under it; cities not <br />levying to the levy 1/mit have lost State aid revenues. Council~ber Cox <br />stated that he doesn't think it is prudent to go beyond the levy limit for to <br />cover only $761.00. Mr. Graczyk stated that the figures contained in col~n 3 <br />of the information sheet represent the amounts originally put into the draft <br />budget that Council received at a previous meeting; since then, Ramsey's <br />assessed valuation has changed. <br /> <br />Mayor HeitFan withdrew his motion and Council~e~ber Sorteberg withdrew his <br />second. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Heit~an and seconded by Councilme~ber Reimann to adopt <br />Resolution #85-206 approving the 1985 tax levy collectable in 1986 and <br />containing the following information: (Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution #85-206). <br /> <br />General Fund <br />Park Fund <br /> Total General Levy <br /> <br />$849,671 <br />59.590 <br /> <br />Debt Service Levy_ <br /> <br />General Obligation Imp. Councilwe~ber Cox stated that this resolution increases the <br />levy liwit and it is being done in order to obtain pluses government gives <br />cities for spending to the maxim~ and he's not in favor of that. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
