<br />until 2:00 p.m. September 17, 2014
<br />by Mr. Kurt Ulrich, City Administra-
<br />tor for the City of Ramsey at the
<br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550
<br />Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, MN
<br />55303 for the construction of the
<br />Ramsey Municipal Parking Facility
<br />Renovation which includes the en-
<br />closure of a portion of the first level
<br />parking area for city vehicle storage
<br />within the existing parking struc-
<br />ture owned by the City of Ramsey.
<br />Proposals will be opened and read
<br />publicly by the City of Ramsey or
<br />their representative in the Alexan-
<br />der Ramsey Room, immediately
<br />after the hour set for receiving bids.
<br />A Pre -bid Meeting will be held at
<br />the Ramsey Municipal Center in
<br />the Alexander Ramsey Room on
<br />September 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM.
<br />All questions asked or submitted
<br />will be answered in a written ad-
<br />dendum.
<br />The City of Ramsey hereby noti-
<br />fies all bidders:
<br />Plans and specifications may
<br />be examined and secured on or
<br />after August 21, 2014. You may
<br />view and order bid documents by
<br />going to the Franz Reprographics
<br />web site at www.franzrepro.com
<br />, and selecting the Franz Public
<br />Plan Room. Please select project
<br />Ramsey Municipal Parking Facility
<br />Renovation from the list of public
<br />projects. Once you have selected
<br />the project, please review the Bid
<br />Details for information on ordering
<br />documents. You must osier docu-
<br />ments to be placed onto the offi-
<br />cial Plan Holder List. To automati-
<br />cally receive electronic notification
<br />of Bid Notices, Bid Addendums,
<br />Construction Bulletins, Shipped
<br />Order Confirmations, and Elec-
<br />tronic Downloads, for this project,

<br />Bids must be accompanied by
<br />a certified check made payable to
<br />the City of Ramsey, or a corporate
<br />surety bond made in favor of the
<br />City of Ramsey in an amount of
<br />Five Percent (5.0%) of the Base Bid
<br />amount.
<br />Upon acceptance of the bid, the
<br />bidder hereby agrees that within
<br />seven days of receipt of the con-
<br />tract from the City of Ramsey it
<br />will execute said contract in the
<br />required form (AIA A101 as modi-
<br />fied by the City of Ramsey for the
<br />specified work. The Contract (mod-
<br />ified AIA A101) is a Stipulated Lump
<br />Sum Contract. In the event the bid-
<br />der fails to do so within said time,
<br />the bid bond/certified check shall
<br />be forfeited to the City of Ramsey
<br />as liquidated damages for such
<br />failure. The contract shall then be
<br />deemed void and of no effect un-
<br />less the OWNER agrees to provide
<br />additional time to comply. If said
<br />bidder shall execute the contract
<br />and secure the required insurance
<br />and bonds, within said time, his
<br />check, if furnished, shall become
<br />void. It is further understood that
<br />this bid may not be withdrawn for
<br />a period of sixty (60) days after the
<br />date set for the opening thereof,
<br />unless otherwise required by law.
<br />Construction is scheduled to be
<br />completed according to the terms
<br />in the Project Manual, SECTION
<br />011000 — Summary of Work.
<br />The City of Ramsey reserves the
<br />right to reject any and all bids, to
<br />waive minor irregularities and infor-
<br />malities therein, to remove or de-
<br />lete work or units of work without
<br />penalty from the contractor, and to
<br />award the contract in the best inter-
<br />est of The City of Ramsey.
<br />All sealed bids must be ad-
<br />dressed to Mr. Kurt Ulrich, City
<br />Administrator, 7550 Sunwood Drive
<br />NW, Ramsey, MN 55303 and shall
<br />be endorsed thereon:
