.Upqrading And Repair Of Railroad Crossing At Sunfish Lake Blvd. NW <br />.(CSAH #57~ - <br /> <br />Council unanimously consented to dispense with the reading of the resolution. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Mayor Heitman to adopt Resolution <br />#85-81 requesting that Anoka County and Burlington Northern Railroad repair <br />the railroad crossing on Sunfish Lake Blvd. ~ (CSAH #57). (Please refer to <br />resolution file for Resolution #85-81). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />B. Upgrading Of Armstrong Blvd. NW (Count_v Road #83) - <br /> <br />Council unanimously consented to dispense with the reading of the resolution. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that Staff proposes to make a slight change to the <br />resolution that will elude to the fact that the cost of the upgrading is a <br />County responsibility. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that the resolution should not refer to a two year <br />time frame. <br /> <br />Mrs. Pomraning - Armstrong Blvd. - Stated that she is not in favor of <br />upgrading Cty. Rd. #83 to the extent that Cty. Rd. 956 was; 10' wide bike <br />lanes would eliminate a lot of trees along 983; a 4' paved shoulder would be <br />sufficient. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that the County would be conducting a public hearing <br />and she should make her comments known at that time. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg agreed with Mrs. Pomraning. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~mber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to adopt <br />Resolution 985-83 requesting the upgrading of Armstrong Blvd NW (Cty. Rd. <br />983). Further, that the following adjustment be made to the proposed <br />resolution: <br /> <br />Change Item 92 to read as follows: 'It is further requested by the <br />City Council that the construction of the upgrading be accomplished <br />as soon as practical.' <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilme~bers Sorteberg, COx, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />case 94: ~ <br /> <br />B.
