Site Improvements For River's Bend Plaza Improvement Project <br /> #87-3: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that the bids have been received and the low <br />bidder, Dave Perkins Contracting, was 2.5% over engineering estimates. Tax <br />increment financing has been approved up to $173,000.00. It would be the <br />developer's option to pick up the excess oosts or delete some of the tasks. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to <br />adopt Resolution #87-62 accepting bids for site improvements to River's <br />Bend Plaza and awarding the contract to Dave Perkins Contracting for such <br />improvements contingent upon development agreements being received between <br />the developer and appropriate escrows. (Please refer to resolution file <br />for Resolution #87-62). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Road Improvements For Roanoke Street NW Improvement Project <br /> ~87-2: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that bids have been received for improvements to <br />Roanoke Street and the lower bidder was Ideal Paving at 13.4% below <br />engineering estimates. Mr. Raatikka stated that the Ideal's references are <br />not the best but there is not just cause to reject the bid. Mr. Raatikka <br />recommended awarding the bid to Ideal Paving with the understanding that <br />they will be penalized for any delays in the project. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution #87-63 accepting bids for road improvements to Roanoke Street 5W <br />and awarding a contract to Ideal Paving for such improvements contingent <br />upon receiving State Aid approval on the plans and receiving escrow from <br />the developer for their share of the improvements. (Please refer to <br />resolution file for Resolution #87-63). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, COx, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Street Improvements For 167th Avenue NW Improvement Project <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox noted that there are 4 property owners to be assessed and <br />according to the City Charter, 3 property owners can stop the project. How <br />access to Now and Then Estates will be acquired depends on whether or not <br />this particular project is approved, which will not be known for about 90 <br />days. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilme~ber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adopt Resolution #87-64 receiving the feasibility report and calling for a <br />public hearing for Street Improvement Project #87-20 (167th Avenue NW <br />between C.$.A.H.
