requests. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that he will provide Council with a list of services and <br />tasks that lend themselves well to contracting out; his primary <br />consideration will be getting the job done economically. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca noted that there are a lot of uncompleted tasks in the <br />Community Development Department and some interns sh~ should be ~-~7 <br />hired to assist Ms. Norris. Such action will provide the means to present <br />the city favorably which will result in a broadening of the tax base so <br />that the hiring of additional personnel for the Finance and Public Works <br />departments can be afforded. <br /> <br />Mr. Raudio was present and stated that developers help to provide a city <br />with it's tax base; developers do have requests and needs they expect <br />answers to but developers also want to know if they are causing undo <br />workloads for staff. <br /> <br />Case #3: Request For A Conditional Use Permit To Grade; Case Of Mr. <br /> Art Raudio: <br /> <br />Mr. Raudio was present requesting a conditional use permit to grade that <br />proposed P.U.D. area south of 149th Avenue and west of Cry. Rd. #56 and <br />noted that approving the grading permit does not commit the City to the <br />P.U.D. development. Mr. Raudio stated that a grading plan was submitted <br />with the P.U.D. plans and approval to begin grading would be contingent <br />upon the City Engineer's approval. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the developer may be removing material off the plat <br />and a conditional use permit to grade and excavate would be required. <br />Normally~ findings of fact are adopted for conditional use permits; those <br />findings have not been drafted. Mr. Hartley also noted that Planning and <br />Zoning did review Mr. Raudio's request and recommended approval. <br /> <br />Mr. Raudio stated that he does have a buyer for the excavated fill. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to continue this meeting to May 6, at which time <br />staff should have the necessary documents prepared relating to Mr. Raudio's <br />request. <br /> <br />Case #4: Di,oussion Regarding Complaint Of 'Outside Storage Violations <br /> Im Gateway NoN~h Imdustrial 'Park: <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox read a letter he received from Jerry Martin regarding <br />outside storage violations by his neighbors in Gateway North Industrial <br />Park. <br /> <br />Council directed Ms. Norris to investigate the complaint and report back to <br />Council on May 12. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Discussion Regarding Level Of Law Enforcement At Hwy. #10 <br /> Weigh Station: <br /> City Council/May 5, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
