Councilmember DeLuca suggested the proposals, including Mr. Berg's, be <br />further investigated before taking action. Councilmember Sorteberg noted <br />that the resolution doesn't change anything; it states going forward with <br />original plans. Councilmember Cox stated that the City Engineer could be <br />directed to review other aspects for the connecting point of Dysprosium and <br />Cty. Rd. ~5. <br /> <br />Councilmembers Sorteberg and Cox directed that the motion include the <br />addition of the following item to the resolution: <br /> <br />That the City Engineer be instructed to review other options, <br />including traffic control, for the connection of Dysprosium Street to <br />Cry. Rd. #5. <br /> <br />Further Discussion continued: Mrs. Kyker requested that the resolution <br />include a 30 mph speed limit and stop signs for Dysprosium. <br /> <br />Councilmembers Sorteberg and Cox directed that the motion include the <br />addition of the following item to the resolution: <br /> <br />That the speed limit on Dysprosium Street from Cry. Rd. #5 to Cry. Rd. <br />#116 be established at 30 mph. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 9:02 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the meeting back to order at 9:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #2: Rec'ommendation From Park And'Recreation' Commission Reg'ard~n~ <br /> Central Park Development Plan: <br /> <br />Merland Otto was present and stated that at it's June 18 meeting, the Park <br />and Recreation Commission agreed with Council's consensus to favor Central <br />Park layout plan referred to as Alternative D that included two buildings. <br />Mr. Otto requested formal approval of Alternative D from Council so that <br />work can begin to refine the layout plan and building designs. Mr. Otto <br />also requested an indication from Council regarding a budget amount for the <br />buildings. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox suggested that one member of Council work with Mr. Otto, <br />Park and Recreation Commission and RYAA so that everyone is aware of what <br />is proposed, the costs, what funds are available, funds that are committed <br />and proposed expenditures for this year. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />appoint Councilmember Cox to the Central Park Committee. <br /> <br />City Council/June 23, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 10 of 19 <br /> <br /> <br />
