Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Kurak, Elvig, Kurak, Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Zimmerman. 2) Authorize Hiring of Building Inspector The Personnel: Committee recommended that the City Council authorize the hiring of Andrew Schreder to the position of Building Inspector at an annual salary of $42,952 (2003 rate). With Council approval, Mr. Schreder's start date will be on or after January 14, 2004. Motion by Councilmember Cook and seconded by Councilmember Kurak to adopt Resolution #04-01-011 authorizing the hiring of Andrew Schreder for the position of Building Inspector. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Kurak, Elvig, Kurak, Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Zimmerman. 3) Authorize Hiring of Patrol Officer The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council authorize the hiring of Bradley Bluml to the position of Patrol Officer at an annual rate of $37,350 (2003 rate-2004 rate yet to be determined). All other personnel policies and LELS contract provisions will apply normally. With Council authorization Mr. Bluml would begin employment with the City on or after January 14, 2004. Motion by Councilmember Cook and seconded by Councilmember Kurak to adopt Resolution #04-01-012 authorizing the hiring of Bradley Bluml to the position of Patrol Officer. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Kurak, Elvig, Kurak, Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Zimmerman. 4) Request to End Probationary Period for Full-Time Patrol Officer, Gina Wieler The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council end the probationary period for full-time Patrol Officer Gina Wieler, effective January 6, 2004. Motion by Councilmember Cook and seconded by Councilmember Kurak to adopt Resolution #04-01-013 authorizing ending the probationary period for full-time Patrol Officer Gina Wieler. Absent: CouncilmemberZimrnerman. 5) Request to End Probationary Period for Full-Time Associate Planner, Amy Geisler The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council end the probationary period for full-time Associate Planner Amy Geisler effective December 25, 2003. Motion by Councilmember Cook and seconded by Councilmember Kurak to adopt Resolution #04-01-014 ending the probationary period for full-time Associate Planner Amy Geisler. Motion carried.
