health and environmental matters are very well addressed in State laws. <br />Council discussed keeping the name of the Landfill Commission simple. <br /> <br />Councilmembers Sorteberg and DeLuca withdrew their motion. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca <br />to table the issue of renaming the Landfill Commission until the Council <br />has had an opportunity to discuss the matter with the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmsmbers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case ~16: Order Plans And _Specifications For Dysprosium Street N.W. <br /> Improvement Project ~87-26~ <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />adopt Resolution #88-73 authorizing the City Engineer to prepare plans and <br />specifications for Street Improvement Project #87-26 (Dysprosium Street <br />N.W.). (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #88-73.) <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: F~yor Reimann, Councilm~mbers Sorteberg, COx, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Ease #17: Landfill Siting Moratorium Ordinanc.e:. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember COx to request <br />that the Planning and Zoning Commission conduct a public hearing and make a <br />recommendation relating to the proposed moratorium ordinance on landfill <br />siting in the City. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Hartley stated that the purpose of the public <br />hearing is to consider adopting an ordinance which says that landfill <br />siting wilt be delayed until a study to determine appropriate criteria for <br />reviewing requests to site landfills in Ramsey is complete. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #18: Adopt Ordinance Amending Section 170.03 Of The .Ramsey City <br /> Code Regarding Park Dedication Requ_ irements: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cox to adopt <br />Ordinance #88-X which is an ordinance adding Chapter 170.06 of the City <br />Code and repealing Ordinance #83-13 as it relates to plats approved after <br />the effective date of this ordinance, all relating to park dedication <br />requirements. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Sorteberg stated that he can understand <br />the request to be able to require cash and/or land to satisfy park <br />dedicaiton requirements; he would like more time to review the proposed <br />increase to park dedication requirements. <br /> <br />CDuncilm~rs DeLuca and Cox withdrew their motion. <br /> May 3, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 7 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
