Funds: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City has unexpended CDBG funds that were <br />allocated to be used in the Ramsey Economic Development Company's revolving <br />loan fund. Anoka County has a policy stating that CDBG funds must be spent <br />within 18 months of allocation. <br /> <br />Council directed Mr. Hartley to research whether parking lot lighting at <br />City Hall qualifies for CDBG funds. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />comment to Anoka County that communities with unexpended CDBG funds be able <br />to trade the funds with another community that has an immediate need for <br />such funds. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None, <br /> <br />~ase #20: Arbitration Award In The Matter of Arbitration Between The <br /> City Of Ram~ey And Law Enforcement (LEL.S.).~: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley reviewed the arbitrator's award in the LELS labor contract <br />negotiations as follows: For 1987, a 2% wage increase on January 1 and <br />another 2% wage increase on July 1; insurance contribution is increased by <br />$12/month for the entire year; no change in holidays. For 1988, wages are <br />increased by 3.85% effective January 1; insurance contribution is increased <br />by $10/month for the entire year; no change in holidays. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />ac]~owledge award and authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to sign <br />agreements reflecting the award of Arbitrator Edward D. Pribble. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson.
