Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and .Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />a) Update on storm warning system - <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that he is in the process of preparing specifications <br />for a storm warning system; it is estimated that it will require 16 sirens <br />to cover the total City. Development of the total system will take about 2 <br />years. <br /> <br />Council discussed that it was their intent that the total system be <br />developed in 1988. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartleynoted that even if the process of developing a storm warning <br />system had begun on January 1, the entire system could not be accomplished <br />in 1988 because of shipping times involved. <br /> <br />b) Lights at Central Park - <br /> <br />Councilm~ber $orteberg stated that he knows a resident in the area of <br />Central Park that is agreeable to managing the turning on and off of lights <br />at Central Park. <br /> <br />Council directed Public Works Superintendent Mevissen to contact that <br />resident and make arrangements for the maintenance of lights at Central <br />Pa rk. <br /> <br />c) Marking soccer fields at Central Park - <br /> <br />Ms. Jill Prall was present and stated that currently RYAA is paying to have <br />soccer fields marked. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Cox recalled making a motion in the past regarding the City <br />paying for field marking. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />directing that the City will reimburse RYAA for costs incurred in having <br />soccer fields marked. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
