Motion by Councilmsmber DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adop~ Pindings of Fac~ 0203 relating to a request by Cross of Ho~Lutheran <br />Church for a conditional use permit to expand the existing church facility. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and .Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent:~ Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />Pastor Olson stated that he agrees with the terms proposed in the <br />conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />approve the request by Cross of Hope Lutheran Church for a conditional use <br />permit to expand the existing church facility. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case 92: ~_ est For Conditional Use Permit To _Operate A Weld. lng <br /> Business From LHome~ Case Of Mr... Michael Baehr: <br /> <br />Mr. Baehr was present. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Mr. Baehr is requesting a permit to operate a <br />welding business from an accessory structure on his property at 17801 St. <br />Francis Blvd. Planning and Zoning recommended approval of the request <br />based on the fact that there would be no drop-in business. <br /> <br />F~. Baehr stated that he is hoping to contract with larger welding <br />companies to perform their smaller welding jobs which he would pick up and <br />deliver. Mr. Baehr stated that he does not wish to place an advertising <br />sign on his property and he would like to list the business as Ramsey <br />Welding. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that he is opposed to home occupations that are <br />carried on Outside of the princiap1 structure and home occupations deter <br />from economic growth in the commercial areas. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmsmber Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />adopt Findings of Fact 0204 relating to Mr. Michael Baehr's request for a <br />conditional use permit with the following addition: <br /> <br />#17 - That the Applicant has stated that no welding activity shall <br /> be carried on outside of the accessory structure. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Sorteberg, Pearson and DeLuca. <br />Voting No: Mayor Reimann.
