day if he can show the City that the market is there. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that he would like Frank Meyer to work with Chief <br />Auspos and City Attorney Goodrich to present some facts and figures that <br />would resolve Council concern with a 24-hour operation. <br /> <br />Chief Auspos stated that he will also have recommendations for ordinances <br />addressing loitering, curfew and making semi-public areas enforceable by <br />the City for Council review. <br /> <br />MDtion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />table any action on Mr. James Meyer's request for an amusement center and <br />billiard tables license and to schedule a public hearing for 7:00 p.m. on <br />May 24, 1988 regarding the request. Further, that the public hearing will <br />be advertised and written notices will be sent to adjacent property owners. <br />Information regarding bathroom facilities, adequacy of septic system, <br />concerns and solutions to a 24-hour operation will be available at the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Council stated that it intends to take action on the <br />request following the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />~as~ #15: Recognition Of Mediation Services' First Year Of Q?~ation: <br /> <br />Motion byCouncilmember Sorteberg and secondedbyCouncilmember Pearson to <br />adopt Resolution #88-75 recognizing the first anniversary of Mediation <br />Services for AnokaCounty. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution <br />#88-75). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Police Chief Auspos stated that Mediation Services is <br />doing a very good job. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Counciln~mber Cox. <br /> <br />~ase ~#6: Site Improvements For Anoka Sports Center Improwemen.t. ~ojec. t <br /> #~8-15~ <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka presented plans for site improvements at Anoka <br />bloorts Center proposed for tax increment particiation. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~m~er Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adopt Resolution #88-76 approving plans and specifications and ordering <br />advertisement for bids for Improvement Project #88-15. (Please refer to <br />resolution file for Resolution #88-15). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. John Noard, owner of Anoka Sports Center, noted <br />that high pressure sodium lighting will not be used for lighting as it <br />gives a false impression of merchandise color. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
