Family Life Mental Health Center <br /> <br />$5.000,00 <br /> <br />The funds would be used to replace badly worn furniture in the Day Treatment Program for <br />persons with long term mental illness; persons unable to work and be with family. Forty-four <br />Ramsey families received service from the Family Life Mental Health Center in i 997. <br /> <br />Rise $3.000.00 <br /> <br />Rise aids the disabled to attain their personal measure of vocational achievement and self- <br />sufficiency. The organization serviced 9 Ramsey residents in 1997. <br /> <br />Arc $1.500.00 <br /> <br />Arc provides services (referrals, one to one advocacy, problems solving, toy and equipment <br />library) to persons with development disabilities. They estimate that there are 50 persons in the <br />City of Ramsey using Arc services. <br /> <br />ACCAP Senior Outreach <br /> <br />$2.920.00 <br /> <br />Senior Outreach serves seniors and disabled adults by assisting them in obtaining help through <br />food programs, health services, energy assistance, and crisis home repairs. They are requesting <br />funding for the Outreach Worker assigned to Ramsey, Bums, Oak Grove and St. Francis. In <br />1997 the Senior Outreach Worker visited 35 clients; receiving no funds from Ramsey, the <br />Outreach worker was only able to enter the Ramsey area for crisis situations rather than crisis <br />prevention. <br /> <br />North Suburban Consumer. Advocates for the Handicapped <br /> <br />$I.000.00 <br /> <br />NSCAH provides information an referral services, training and promotes attitude awareness <br />regarding persons with disabilities. Funds would be used for sensitivity training for 4th grades <br />and developing a list of affordable/accessible housing for the disabled. <br /> <br />Father's Resource Center <br /> <br />$4.000.00 <br /> <br />The organization's mission is to foster environments that empower men to develop the inner <br />resources to be the kind of fathers their children and families need by providing resources that <br />effectively educate, advocate and support fatherhood. <br /> <br />Other project options include: <br /> <br />Ci.ty of Ramsey ADA Retrofits <br /> <br />$13.700.00 <br /> <br />There are an estimated 19 locations in the City where sidewalks meeting curbs are not in <br />compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. <br /> <br /> <br />
