Senior Housi~e inthe Ci.ty of Ramsey $54.000.00 <br /> <br />In lieu of COuncil's action to accept the County HRA levy in 1998, there is a very strong <br />possibility we may be looking at developing some senior housing in the near future. CDBG <br />funds can b~ allocated towards such a project and may be used for land acquisition, site <br />preparation, eiagineering fees, etc. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The County must comply with a 15% cap on allocations to public service agencies. The County <br />went over bY ~bout 1% in 1997, so the 1998 public service allocation is restricted to about 14%. <br />If we use that ~as ageneral rule of thumb, we can consider allocating approximately $11,000.00 to <br />public serviee~i agencies. Historically, Ramsey allocated to public service organizations that help <br />persons fill ~e gap between self-sufficiency and welfare.
