10.

11.

12.

13.

14.

If feasible, all tax forfeited land
and state trust land should be
acquired for park use. If, after
acquiring this land, it becomes
unfeasible to use it as park land,
it may be sold at fair market
value and the proceeds
deposited into the park account.

When the City is fully developed,
parks and playgrounds should be
equally distributed throughout
the community. Recreational
facilities should be developed to
accommodate those already
populated areas of the City.
Futur. e acquisition and
development will logically follow
planned development.

No person should cross a major
transportation route to gain
access to the park unless the
route is properly controlled.

Develop a Park and Open Space
System that meets the seasonal
recreational needs of all age
groups.

Since Ramsey is part of the
metro area, its residents are not
confined to the corporate limits
of the City and therefore should
take advantage of district and
regional recreational facilities.
Likewise it can be assumed that
some local facilities will be used
by nonresidents.

11.

~t'~"~)'e I o p e d, parks and
playgrounds should be .....
distributed throughout the
community.
