Park and Recreation Commission § 2.04 <br /> <br /> Subd. 7. Encourage dissemination of information to, and coordinate <br />with, Ramsey organizations interested in the park and recreation function, such <br />as athletic groups, youth groups, civic organizations, etc. <br /> <br /> Subd. 8. Develop and recommend feasible programs relative to the <br />conservation 'of our environment. <br /> <br /> Sub,L9. Encourage coordination with other communities to the <br />extent appropriate in matters pertinent to the park and recreation function. <br /> <br />2.04.06 Composition- The commission shall be composed of a chairman and <br />six members. <br /> <br />2.04.07 Members Method of Selection - Term of Office Removal <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. The chairman shall be selected annually by a majority <br />vote of the commission. The chairman may be removed by a majority vote of the <br />commission. :The chairman shall have the following responsibilities in addition to <br />those otherwise .described herein: <br /> <br /> a. Preside over all meetings of the commission. <br /> <br /> b. Appear or appoint a representative to appear, as necessary, before <br /> the city advisory commissions and the City Council to present the <br /> viewpoint of the commission on matters pertaining to the park <br /> :and recreation function as it relates to business under <br /> consideration by said commission or City Council. <br /> <br /> c. ~eview all City Council, Planning Commission and other <br /> advisory commission minutes and inform the park and <br /> recreation commission of matters relevant to the park and <br /> recreation function. <br /> <br />Provide liaison with other governmental and volunteer units in <br />matters relating to the park and recreation function, e. Prepare <br />agendas for each commission meeting. <br /> <br /> SubcL2. A vice chairman shall be appointed annually by the <br />chairman. The vice chairman shE] perform such duties as may be assigned by the <br />chairman and shall assume responsibilities of the chair in the absence of the <br />chairman. <br /> <br /> Subd. 3. Members of the commission shall be appointed by a majority <br />vote of the City Council for terms of three years, except that any person appointed to <br />fill a vacancy occurring prior to the expiration of the term for which his <br />predecessor was appointed shall be appointed only for the remainder of such term. <br /> <br /> Subd. 4. Members of the commission shall be residents of the City of <br />t~amsey while serving on the commission and shall represent a broad range of <br />interest in the park and recreation function. <br /> <br /> Sub& 5.
