CASE <br /> <br /> RECEIVE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />AND ORDER BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 03-28 <br />145th LANE/146th AVENUE SIDEWALK PROJECT <br /> By Steven Jankowski: City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />You may r~cal[ that last year a trail had been proposed along the southern border of The <br />Village of Sunfish Lake as an element of the improvements associated with that new <br />subdivision. DUring the approval process for this subdivision residents adjacent to this <br />proposed trail slated their opposition to a trial adjoining their backyards, and it was <br />determine~ that a sidewalk would be installed in fi:ont of their homes instead (along the <br />north side ~f 145th Lane). In addition, a sidewalk will be installed along the north side of <br />146tl~ Ave~te in the Village of Sunfish Lake. It will be necessary to place sidewalk past <br /> th nd <br />three exiStihg homes on the north side of 146 Avenue in the Chestnut Hill 2 Addition <br />to connect lhe Village of Sunfish Lake sidewalk to the existing sidewalk on Potassium <br />Street. <br /> <br />The City COunoil authorized this project on July 8, 2003 with funding to be provided <br />from the ¢i!y trail fund. The estimated construction cost of the project is $75,000.
