He does not believe without active debate among the Council they have pinned down <br />amounts or timing on any of these projects. He hopes they do not hear what has been told to the <br />Council before, which is that a project is on the CIP and it has to be approved. Without moving <br />forward with the Council and debate he would hate to hear that kind of approach to sell a project. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated this was quite a discussion five years ago. He would like to remind staff the <br />CIP is currently a plan and not a commitment. He noted the quarterly review will be beneficial. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen indicated that now that the Council has some strategic planning in the <br />works and is forwarding goals, it would make sense for the C1P to follow the goals. She would <br />encourage as they move forward to look at the plan, and as projects come up to look at the goals. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adopt Resolution #04- <br />02-049 adopting the City of Ramsey's 2004-2008 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). <br /> <br />Motion carried.
