Mr. Schnelle Stated that newspaper articles were misleading; Shorewood did not have a co~pl~te comprehensive plan at the time of trunk installation. Commissioner D~emer pointed out that development of Ramsey's and Anoka's industrial parks will have an affect on the demand for this type of housing in the area. Mr. Data stated that he has heard the argument that multiple dwellings will not sell wmll in this area because there is no public transportation available. Cu,,a,issioner Deemer pointed out that a lot of people are buying in Coon Rapids where there isi no public transportation agailable; it is possible that the route serving Ferry Street could be adjusted to serve Flintwood II. Mr. Carson.noted that it is more economical to build'and live in Ramsey than in western suburbs. O~mmissioner Deemer stated that the develo~_r would be allowed to develop 12-14 single ~wellings on that portion abutting Flintwood I. Mr. Art .Ra~io - Stated that he does not own interest in proposed PUD, but does own land aCr~es the street that he wants to develop. Stated he has developed s~milar ~o th%s in Coon Bapids and density does ~lecrease by 20% when developing with quads ra~her than ~uplexes.
