Batteries shall be stored in acid resistant, leak proof containers in <br />accordance with Anoka County and MPCA regulations. <br /> <br />Storage of Received Materials, Feedstock, Separated Materials and <br />Equipment. The exterior storage of any materials on the site, either unprocessed or <br />processed, shall be restricted to Lot 1, shall be limited to a six (6) year time frame from the <br />date of approval of this CUP, shall be screened from view from the public right-of-way, <br />and shall be limited to pile heights of eight (8) feet. At six years, all exterior storage is <br />prohibited and all site operations must be conducted wholly within buildings. <br /> <br />Waste Oil. All waste oil shall be collected for recycling in accordance with Anoka <br />County and MPCA regulations. <br /> <br />Oil and Fluid Residues. The Permit Holder shall store alt materials with oil or fluid <br />residues within covered, leakproof containers or within a building so as to minimize <br />potential stormwater runoff contamination. <br /> <br />Outside Storage of Materials and Equipment. The outside storage of inoperable <br />vehicles and equipment shall be shall be restricted to Lot 1 and shall be limited to a total of <br />fifteen (15) vehicles and/or trailers, or parts thereof. <br /> <br />Trailer/Vehicle Storage. The use of trailers, trucks or vehicles for long-term storage <br />(longer than 30 consecutive days) is prohibited. All vehicles and trailers on site, with the <br />exception of those to be processed as feedstock, must bear a current license, be registered, <br />be road worthy and have a current State of Minnesota vehicle inspection sticker. <br /> <br />Hazardous Wastes. No hazardous wastes, as defined by the U.S. Environmental <br />Protection Agency or Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), shall be burned at the <br />facility. No defined hazardous wastes shall be stored or handled at the facility unless the <br />required permits have been obtained from Anoka County Environmental Services and the <br />City has been provided a copy of same. <br /> <br />Ash. All ash from the site shall be removed from the site on a regular basis, shall not be <br />stockpiled in excess of 35 tons on the property, shall be stored inside a building and shall <br />be processed by a lawful processor or deposited in an U.S. Environmental Protection <br />Agency approved landfill. All ash residue shall be removed from the site in a covered, <br />contained load. <br /> <br />Ash Disposal. Permit Holder shall provide the City with a copy of the written agreement <br />or certification from the designated ash processing and/or disposal facility that said facility <br />is willing to accept the ash. The Permit Holder shall notify the City of any change in ash <br />processing/disposal facilities within 30 days of such change. <br /> <br />Wire Processing. The Permit Holder shall not process wire by melt operations on the <br />Site. <br /> <br />Control of Operations. All hauling, processing, separating, disposal and other <br />activities incidental to the aluminum processing operation shall be conducted in <br />conformance with state and federal regulations and in accordance with the applicable <br />requirements of the Performance Standards of the City Code. Operations must be <br />conducted so as to minimize noise, safety, smoke or other nuisance concerns to adjacent <br />properties. <br /> <br /> <br />
