Subd. <br /> <br />Subd. 4 <br /> <br />Subd. 5 <br /> <br />Garage Sale and Craft Sale signs. Advertising and directional garage and <br />craft sale signs are limited to six (6) square feet and shall be of the free-standing <br />type only. Garage and craft sale signs shall be placed on private property only and <br />shall have the property owner's permission. All such sate signs shall be removed <br />within twenty-four (24) hours after the completion of the sale. Garage and craft <br />sale signs shall identify the name, address and telephone number of the sign owner. <br /> <br />Construction signs identifying the parties involved in the construction to occur <br />or occurring on the premises may be installed upon a construction site in any <br />district, provided such sign does not exceed eighty (80) square feet in commercial, <br />industrial and multi-family districts and six (6) square feet in single family <br />residential districts. There shall not be more than one (1) temporary construction <br />sign for each project or development, except that where a project or development <br />abuts two (2) or more streets, additional such signs, one (1) oriented to each <br />abutting street, shall be permitted. Temporary construction signs shall be located <br />only upon the legally described parcel on the building permit. Temporary <br />construction signs are exempt from the permit and fee requirements but shall be <br />allowed only as accessory to an approved building permit for a project or <br />development. Temporary construction signs may be erected and maintained for a <br />period not to exceed sixty (60) days prior to the commencement of construction and <br />shall be removed within fourteen (14) days of the issuance of the certificate of <br />occupancy. <br /> <br />Real Estate Signs: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Temporary real estate signs may be erected for the purpose of selling, <br />promoting or leasing a residential project of four (4) or more dwelling units <br />or any non-residential project. Temporary real estate signs for the purpose <br />of leasing, selling or promoting a residential project or any non-residential <br />project are: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />exempt from the permit and fee requirements but shall be allowed <br />only as accessory to an approved subdivision plat or site plan; <br /> <br />2) limited to sixty-four square feet in area; <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />limited to one (1) such sign per street frontage upon which the <br />property abuts; <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />to be removed when the project is one-hundred percent (100%) <br />completed, sold or leased; <br /> <br />5) not to be located within fifty (50 feet) of a pre-existing residence. <br /> <br />6) Lease signs are restricted to wall or window signs. <br /> <br />Draft Date March 30, 1992 <br /> Page 8 of 19 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
