ORDINANCE ~'92. ~ CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 7 WHICH IS KNOW AS THE PERMITS CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER "CHARITABLE GAMBLING" AND REPEALING SECTION OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1. AUTHORITY 7, SECTION 7.62 LICENSING AND 7.61 ENTITLED ENTITLED "BINGO" This Ordinance is adopted pursuant to the authority granted by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 349. et al. SECTION 2. AMENDMEN.T Section 7.61 of the City Code is amended to read as follows: 7.61.01 Purpose The purpose of this section is to regulate and control the conduct of charitable gambling pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 349 of Minnesota Statutes. 7.61.02 Adoption of Reference Chapter 349 of Minnesota Statutes is adopted by reference the same as if fully set forth herein. 7.61.03 Notice; Approval or Disapproval The applicant for a charitable gambling license within the City of Ramsey shall notify the City Council in writing in the manner required by law of each pending application for a charitable gambling license at least 60 days before issuing or renewing the license. Each pending application for a license shall be approved or disapproved by the Ramsey City Council. 7.61.04 Location Lawful gambling under license issued by the Minnesota Char/table Gambling Control Board ("Board") may be conducted only at locations that comply with applicable zoning, building, fire and health codes of the City of Ramsey. All applications must be for a specific location with the exception of Class D (raffle only) licenses. The following locations are considered unsuitable for gambling operations and any request for a charitable gambling license at such a location will be rejected without clear and convincing evidence that such a locat~n wi. ll not pose undue enforcement difficulties, lessen property values of adjoin/ng properties, oi' expose gambling to persons under 18 years of age: a.
