ORDINANCE ~'92. ~ <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 7 WHICH IS KNOW AS THE <br />PERMITS CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER <br />"CHARITABLE GAMBLING" AND REPEALING SECTION <br />OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br /> <br />7, SECTION <br /> 7.62 <br /> <br />LICENSING AND <br /> <br /> 7.61 ENTITLED <br />ENTITLED "BINGO" <br /> <br />This Ordinance is adopted pursuant to the authority granted by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 349. et al. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMEN.T <br /> <br />Section 7.61 of the City Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 7.61.01 Purpose <br /> <br /> The purpose of this section is to regulate and control the conduct of charitable gambling pursuant to <br /> the provisions of Chapter 349 of Minnesota Statutes. <br /> <br /> 7.61.02 Adoption of Reference <br /> <br /> Chapter 349 of Minnesota Statutes is adopted by reference the same as if fully set forth herein. <br /> 7.61.03 Notice; Approval or Disapproval <br /> <br /> The applicant for a charitable gambling license within the City of Ramsey shall notify the City <br /> Council in writing in the manner required by law of each pending application for a charitable <br /> gambling license at least 60 days before issuing or renewing the license. Each pending application <br /> for a license shall be approved or disapproved by the Ramsey City Council. <br /> <br /> 7.61.04 Location <br /> <br /> Lawful gambling under license issued by the Minnesota Char/table Gambling Control Board <br /> ("Board") may be conducted only at locations that comply with applicable zoning, building, fire <br /> and health codes of the City of Ramsey. All applications must be for a specific location with the <br /> exception of Class D (raffle only) licenses. <br /> <br /> The following locations are considered unsuitable for gambling operations and any request for a <br /> charitable gambling license at such a location will be rejected without clear and convincing evidence <br /> that such a locat~n wi. ll not pose undue enforcement difficulties, lessen property values of <br /> adjoin/ng properties, oi' expose gambling to persons under 18 years of age: <br /> <br /> a. Areas zoned for agriculture or residential use; <br /> <br /> b.
