Anoka County Contract # 900264 <br /> <br />SUPPLEMENTAL SCUD WASTE ABATEMENT GRANT PROGRAM <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into on November 22, 1 991, notwithstanding the date <br />of the signatures of the parties, between the COUNTY OF ANOKA, State of Minnesota, hereinafter <br />referred to as the "COUNTY", and the CITY OF RAMSEY, hereinafter referred to as the "MUNICIPALITY". <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County has received SCORE funds for the calendar year 1 991 pursuant <br />to Minn. Stat. § 115A.557 and has entered into joint powers agreement with municipalities in Anoka <br />County for distribution of said funds for local recycling programs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appears likely that the municipalities will not have expended all of these SCORE <br />funds by December 31, 1991; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County wishes to reallocate any remaining SCORE funds to further assist <br />municipalities which have achieved recycling goals established by the Anoka County Board; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Municipality has met its recycling goal for the calendar year 1991 and wishes <br />to receive additional funding for its recycling and/or yard waste abatement programs; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and promises contained in this <br />Agreement, the padies mutually agree to the following terms and conditions: <br /> <br />PURPOSE. The purpose of this Agreement is to provide for cooperation between the Cou,nty <br />and the Municipality to implement solid waste recycling and vard waste abatement prcgrams <br />in the Municipality. <br /> <br />TERM. By accepting the use o: grant funds disbursed pursuant ~,c this <br />Agreement, the Municipality agrees to the following' <br /> <br />A. The Municipality shall ensure that said grant funds are expended only for the <br />purposes allowed by Minn. Stat. § 115A.557, Subd. 2 (1991), including solid waste recycling <br />and yard waste abatement programs.
