When it was all said and done, City <br />Council directed tl~at effective February 1, 1992, with the exception of the employment contract <br />relationship ~jl:h the City Engineer, the use of City owned vehicles will be limited to travel <br />between work telat~rl sites only. <br /> <br />City vehicles are not to be used to shuttle to and from work nor to be used to go home during lunch <br />or for any oth~ personal uses. Further, vehicles are to remain on City property overnight, are not <br />to be taken hokne/~etween shifts and the use thereof for out-of-town conferences, seminars and <br />meetings mUsj: be ispecifically scheduled and approved in advance by the City Administrator. <br />Finally, it was ktiree--ted that staff bring back a formal policy statement at the next Council meeting. <br />There may be a need for specific exemptions from the above policy, but these exceptions must be <br />brought to Cit~, Co6ncil for specific action on a case-by-case basis. <br /> <br />This will be anitem of discussion at our next staff meeting. <br /> <br />/ocr : <br /> <br /> <br />
