I I I I I ! I I I I I I.D. #2-113 - Sunfish Lake This shoreland is located in the urban area of the City which is scheduled for municipal utilities in the future. Presently, the area around the lake is sparsely developed on large lots. However, since this area is located in the Urban Area, both the Comprehensive Sanitary Sewer Plan and Drainage Plan were completed on the basis that the area around the lake would develop on urban size lots. Therefore, the City requests that this lake be reclassified as recreational development waters. I. D. 12-114 - Pond North of Ramsey Terrace and County Ditch No. 43 This shoreland is located in the southeast corner of the City and is part of the 1990 Urban Service Area. Extensive planning has been completed by the City to provide municipal utilities for that area. All three comprehensive plans (sewer, water and drainage) were completed with the assumption this area would develop on urban size lots. Therefore, the City requests that the open water area located in the South Half of Section 26, Township 32 North, Range 25 West be reclassified as general development waters. In addition, the City requests that the area along County Ditch No. 43 located north of the open water be deleted from the shorelands classification. The reason for deleting this county ditch is to allow for development of a portion of that area. There are a number of county ditches in the City which are not classified as shorelands that are undevelopable {see attached aerial photographs). The City would also preserve type 3, 4 and 5 wetlands along County Ditch No. 43 at the time of development. I.D. ~2-115 - KANO Radio Station Pond This pond is also located in the southeast corner of the City and is part of the 1990 Urban Service Area. As is the case of Shoreland #2-114, this area is scheduled for urban development. In addition, this wetland is proposed to be used as a retention pond in the City's Comprehensive Drainage Plan. However, unlike other proposed shorelands in the City, this shoreland is only approximately 7.5 acres. The intent of the Shoreland Management Act was to classify shorelands equal to or greater than ten acres. Therefore, the City requests that this proposed shoreland be deleted from the list of municipal shorelands.
