Voting yes Councilmen Reimann and Sorteberg. Voting no None.

Councilman Reimann stated that if Councilmembers have any questions for Staff
at Council meetings, it should be taken care of right away so as not to waste
Staff time at these meetings. Any items concerning department heads should
try to be scheduled early in the agenda.

Councilman Sorteberg stated that the City should be keeping up in health in-
surance costs, but before a decision is made, he would like to see the facts
and figures. Councilman Reimann agreed.

Councilman Sorteberg stated that the Budget Committee can use the figures
given for salary increases (refer to enclosure (2) of these minutes) when
determining the budget, as the salaries that will eventually be approved
will be awfully close to these amounts. He also stated that a 4% cost of
living increase still sounds reasonable.

City Administrator Schnelle asked if the Personnel Committee thought it
would be a good idea for them to meet with all employees on an individual
basis, as this hasn't been done before. He suggested that this be done
once every year.

Councilman Reimann stated that he thought it was a good idea and that the
City Administrator should work on getting something set up for one day in
the afternoon.

The meeting adjourned at 8:16 A.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Penny Curtis
Secretary

Personnel Committee
