(Please refer to resolution file <br />for Resolution #83-181). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Reimann brought up the subject of <br />the Community School program and stated that the City should not be <br />supplementing another school program. Councilmember Sorteberg stated <br />that if these programs are worth the citizens enrolling in, then they are <br />worth the citizens paying for them.-"Councilmember Reimann suggested the <br />City decrease this supplement to the Community School program by 25% -- <br />the City has to take some leadership in this instance; the program is not <br />wrong but the way it is funded is. Councilmember Reimann also noted that <br />the City does not subsidize athletic programs, other than by park useage, <br />but the City does subsidize the Community School Program by way of funds <br />and park useage. Councilmember Van Wagner stated that the elimination <br />of activity buses and increase in fees will decrease enrollment. <br />Councilmember Van Wagner suggested decreasing the Community School budget <br />by 20% and putting the amount of money saved into the Council Sinking Fund. <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner withdraws her motion to adopt Resolution #83-181. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />decrease the Community School Program allocation by 20%, transferring that <br />cost saving to the Council Sinking Fund. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Reimann, Sorteberg and Van Wagner. <br />Voting No: Mayor Gamec and Councilmember Schlueter. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />to adopt Resolution #83-181 approving the 1983 tax levy collectable in <br />1984. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #83-181). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: May~r Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Reimann, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Request For Final Plat Approval; Case Of Mr. Allen Sorteberg: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />approve of the final plat of Sorteberg's Second Addition contingent upon <br />compliance with the following: <br /> <br />1. Preparation of an address map <br />2. Payment of park fees, contingent upon Park Commission and Council <br /> results regarding this issue. <br />3. Provisions of proper drainage easements <br />4.
