They use 3 <br /> judges and paper ballots for special elections. <br /> Normal cost: under $4,000. <br /> <br /> Entire charter was revised in 1981. Cost for having it <br /> published in the legal newspaper : $532. <br /> The average costs for charter commission (theY are still <br /> very active) are under $200-$300~yearly. During last <br /> revision the~[]~!'~'pent ap?rox; $40 - office su?~lies, $t38 - <br />"~i e~'al fees <br /> <br /> Does not have costs of charter writing, but the cha'rter <br /> has not ca'used special elections since he has been with <br /> the city. <br /> <br />The only example of costs they could give was for a <br />special election in 1973-~974. To further cut costs of charter copies they <br />Xeroxed 25 copies (for officials) and then bought 100 <br />copies of theUnion in which charter appeared, cut the charter <br />section out and used these for handing out to residents <br />that asked for copies. <br /> <br />No cost breakdown. She did say that they reduce it to 5-point <br />t.yoe and charge approx. $320. for a full page. <br /> <br /> <br />
