System Software md Utilities Specifications The system software must be in any of the high-level languages such as BASIC~ FORTRAN, PASCAL, etc., and must be multi-task and multi-user. All system utilities must be accessible by and designed for the end user, and be accompanied by explicit documentation and adequate basic training. I I I I I I I I I I X I I: Hardware Specifications The hardware must be designed to be operated by non-technical City personnel and must operate at a noise level consistent with an office environment. The hardware need not be new, but, if refurbished~ the vendor must provide the list of specifications, warranties, conditions, etc., which apply. A vendor offering refurbished equipment should also include the costs and differences for the equivalent new equipment. Disk Drive: At least 80 MB storage capacity, and at least one removable disk. Ve.ndors should indicate whether they reco~f~tend a single drive or two or more smaller drives; in the case of more than one drive, specify the arrangement. Terminals: The City will eventually require 10-12 terminals, but the acquisition of these will be staged over time. Vendors should indicate the price of 8 terminals with delivery of the basic system, and the incremental price of additional terminals. All terminals must be fully capable. Vendors should specify whether or not the keyboards are separate, and, if an option, the costs per terminal for both detached and attached keyboards.
