Vendors should indicate if this is possible, and what extra charges, if <br />any, are associated with such a printer or o later conversion. <br /> <br />Three printers meeting the following specificationa are required: <br /> <br />Two (2) character printers, one at least 30 cps and the other at least 20 <br />cps. Both must hold I/~" paper, 132 columns of type, be equipped with tractor <br />feeder, offer proportional spacing option and variable pitch. If available, <br />include prices for sheet feeders. <br />One (I) high-speed, dot-matrix, system printer, at least 300 cps and d~le to <br />hold Iq" paper and 132 columns of type. <br /> <br />CPU: The .CF~ should be designed to handle the software proposed by the vendor, <br />with all terminals fully capable. Vendors should specify the maximum number of <br />terminals the system can adequately serve. If the vendor recommends a staged <br />acquisition of memory in relation to R~sey's proposed st~jed acquisition of <br />terminals, so specify in detail. <br /> <br />When delivered~ the O:~ must be equipped to handle the number of terminals, <br />printers and drives proposed, plus a tape drive and microfilm reader, it must also <br />be equipped for telecorrrnunications. <br /> <br />Tape Oriv~: Vendors should include the specifications and cost of a g-track tape <br />drive, and indicate how long those costs will remain in effect. <br /> <br />J~crofiim Reader-- The system must be able to be integrated with a Microfilm <br />Reader. Vendors must indicate whether or not this is possible~ and if so, include <br />specifications and costs for the Reader and associated equipment (camera, stand, <br />film files, etc.). <br /> <br />Any costs for delivery, set-up, training, etc., must be specified. <br /> <br />j~scellm~ous: Vendors must include the costs of one (I) 1200 baud modem with <br />necessary cables and instructions; vendors whose systems require a dedicated line <br />must so specify. <br /> <br />All cables necessary to operate the system must be provided by the vendor. <br /> <br />City of Romsey <br />Corrguter System Bid Specifications <br /> <br />Page I0 <br /> <br /> <br />
