Absent: Councilmember <br /> <br />COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Request BS Li. on's Club To Use The Fire Barn For A Car Wash: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />to approve of the Lion's Club's request to use the City Hall fire barn for <br />a car wash on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Schlueter, <br />Sorteber§ and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Reimann. <br /> <br />Case #2: ~Bquest To Split Lots In Oakrid~e Estates; Case Of Mr. Joe Sentryz: <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec to table this case until the Council meeting scheduled <br />for March 22, 1983. The reason for tabling is that Mayor Gamec is waiting <br />for the results of a computer study comparing what it costs the City to <br />maintain these vacant lots versus developed lots. Councilmember Schlueter <br />and Van Wagner request that the Mayor get these results back to Council- <br />members prior to the March 22, 1983 Council meeting. Mr. Delano Skeim <br />inquired as to the City's formal position regarding lot splits. Mayor <br />Gamec replied that the City's position is what is stated in the Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Schlueter <br />and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Reimann. <br /> <br />Case #3: .Closin9.0.f DNR'S Metro Re~ion Office: <br /> <br />Council noted and took no action at this time. <br /> <br />Case #4: Request For Consideration Of Dwelling Sizes; Case Of Scandinavian <br /> Construction: <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle advised Council that City ordinance should address the subject <br />of townhouse and condominium area size requirements. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that the present square footage requirements for a 3 or more <br />family dwelling are really directed at apartments, that there should be <br />some language to compensate for more than one-level dwellings. <br /> <br />C/February 22, 1983 <br /> Page 17 of 21 <br /> <br /> <br />
