whether or not to proceed to write a Charter.

Further Discussion: Commissioner Data suggested that a broader data base is
required in order to make a good decision regarding writing a Charter or not.
Commissioner Data inquired if taking all that citizen input regarding Charter,
at the next meeting was a good idea. Commissioner Data stated that what Commissioner
Buchanan suggested in his motion will take more than one meeting to accomplish,
that informing of the public and Charter Commission cannot be accomplished in
two or three hours. Commissioner Gamec suggested conducting an informational
meeting for Charter Commission benefit and then conducting a public meeting
for citizen input.

Motion by Commissioner Sieber and seconded by Commissioner Bauerkemper to
establish a 6-member Information Committee as follows:

Public Opinion Committee - 2 members
Outside Opinion Committee - 1 member
Current Form Of Government Committee - 1 member
Charter Advantages Committee - i member
Charter Disadvantages Committee - 1 member

Further, that these various committees report their progress at the next
meeting of the Charter Commission, at which time they will receive further
direction.

Motion carried.
