Mr. Schnelle pointed out that Staff has to spend so many hours, hours they don't <br />have, trying to get something they need, i.e., additional personnel, computers, <br />etc. <br /> <br />General consensus was that the long term plan was put together well. <br /> <br />Council unanimously consented to dispense with the reading of the resolution. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adopt Resolution #84-257 which adopts the five (5) year long term financial <br />plan. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #84-258). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 8:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting back to order at 8:25 p.m. <br /> <br />4. Unauthorized Sign At River's Bend Project - Mayor Gamec stated that during <br />recess he was provided with a copy of a letter from Mr. John Lichter dated <br />December 15, 1984 in which it states that the sign regarding the City Charter <br />that is located on River's Bend Project property is in violation of City Code <br />170.015J and should be removed. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg explained that any signs in the Urban district are limited to those <br />permitted by City Council as shown on the approved site plan. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that this code is in need of review as it currently applies <br />to all business signs, election signs, Ramsey Lions sign, etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Arnie Cox was present and inquired if there was anything wrong with the <br />sign; that it does tell the truth and John Lichter is a member of the Charter <br />Commission and that Commission wants the people informed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Re/mann to <br />table any action until the City Attorney has an opportunity to review this <br />case and submit an opinion. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner.
