IMPROVEMENTS City of Ramsey has been divided into 17 districts which constitute neighborhoods. Each ~i?..,l:borhood district is intended to receive the full plethora of park services within, or readily ac('.essible to, the district. It is intended that this can be achieved by either development of one or mo'~',:', fully comprehensive parks within each district or development of sporadic comprehensive facilities with development of trail systems leading to and between each of these park :~a. cilities. Within the 1993 - 1998 time frame, the proposed Capital Improvements Program includes development within 12 of the 17 park districts. Project #1 - Itaska/Ermine Park and Trail Corridor Included herein, is the 1993 and 1994 development of a trail system originating at the Whispering Pines and Northfork subdivisions at Whispenng Pines park, at approximately 154th Avenue N.W. and Puma Street N.W., running north to the Hunters Ridge and Autumn Heights subdivisions, at 167th Avenue N.W. and County Road #83, at a cost est/mated at $160,000. The fa'st $120,000 of the cost would come from the Landfill Trust Fund with the balance paid out of current and furore park dedication receipts into the Park Trust Fund. In 1995, $57,000 is projected from the Landfill Trust Hand to develop the Whispering Pines park hub to this trail system. In the same year, during consmaction of the 153rd extension, an off-road trail between Armstrong Boulevard N.W. and Puma Street N.W. on 153rd Avenue N.W. is projected out of MSA funds connecting to the Greenland Hills park district. Greenland Hills The Greenland Hills district currently has two wetland parks wkich are undeveloped. North of these parks, adjacent to the surrounding wetland, is projected the final extension of the 153rd Avenue N.W. crosstown. It is proposed that the LandfLI1 Trust Hund provide funding for acquisition of the 153rd extension south of the road right-of-way in order to provide for a furore nature preserve. Then in 1995, as part the the roadway construction project, a trail be developed utilizing MSA funds along this extension connecting to the trail system in the Itaska/Ermine districts. This will allow for the residents in the Greenland lqills and nearby districts and neighborhoods to access the Whispering Pines Park, and the Itaska/Ermine trail system and it completes two-thirds of a trail loop that when completed will connect to Traprock Park, Central Park and Autumn Heights Park lq
