10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />if;. <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />20. <br /> <br />That on October 13, 1992, in accordance with procedures prescribed by City Code, <br />the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution ~'92-10-255 confirming the denial of <br />the request for a conditional use permit amendment. <br /> <br />That on November 24, 1992, pursuant to complaints received pertaining to <br />violations of conditional use permit terms at Danny's Aluminum Processing, Inc., <br />the Ramsey City Council directed City Staff to initiate action necessary for the City <br />to consider revocation of the subject conditional use permit. <br /> <br />That on January 12, 1993, City Staff reported to City Council that in accordance <br />with City Code, the Applicant was notified in writing of conditional use permit <br />violations and given thin3, (30) days to correct the violations prior to scheduling any <br />public hearing to consider revocation of the conditional use permit. City Staff also <br />reported that based on a Staff inspection of the site on January 6, 1993, the <br />Applicant was in compliance with the terms of the conditional use permit for Lot 1, <br />Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat #2. <br /> <br />That on January 12, 1993, the City Council directed City Staff to cease proceedings <br />to consider revocation of the conditional use permit based on City Staffs report of <br />compliance with the terms thereof. <br /> <br />That on January 12, 1993, the Applicant was present at the City Council and noted <br />that in order to be in compliance with the conditional use permit terms, he had to <br />cease the disassembly of engines and transmissions within the building on Lot 1, <br />which meant a lay-off for a certain number of employees. The Applicant requested <br />that City Council consider granting a conditional use permit amendment to allow the <br />disassembly of engines and transmissions within the building in order that the <br />employees could come back to work. The Applicant stated that his request is based <br />on his compliance with the terms of his conditional use permit and that there is a <br />similar facility in Ramsey that is permitted to disassemble engines and <br />transmissions within a building. ' <br /> <br />That on January 12, 1993, the City Council authorized City Staff to process the <br />Applicants request for a conditional use permit amendment, in accordance with City <br />Code procedures, for the disassembly of engines and transmissions as <br />expeditiously as possible. <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a <br />public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on February <br />2, 1993 and that said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of <br />said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />That the subject property is generally known as 14050 Basalt Street N.W. and is <br />legally described as follows: <br /> <br /> Lot 1, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat #2, Anoka County, <br /> ]~lillrleSOt~. ", <br /> <br />That the subject parcel is approximately 1.6 acres in size. <br /> <br />That the subject parcel is located in the Industrial Dis~ct. <br /> <br />That the adjacent parcels are zoned Industrial. <br /> <br /> <br />
