Councitmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #93-03- RESOLUTION RECEIVING AND AWARDING BID FOR THE 1993 SPRING PET CLINIC WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has advertised and received bids for the opportunity to serve as the exclusive veterinarian for the City of Ramsey at its 1993 spring pet clinic. The following bids were received: Veterin~.im Shot Cost A Pet's Best Friend 3774 - I39th Lane N,W. Andover, MN 55304 Rabies (canine & Feline) $ 5.00 DHLP-P (canine) $10.00 Pan RC-C-P (feline) $10.00 AMVET - Elk River Animal Hospital 15670 NE 90th Street Elk River, MN 55330 Rabies (canine & feline) $ 2.25 DHLP-P (canine) $ 8.95 Pan RC-C-P (feline) $ 4.95 Ramsey Animal Hospital 14027 St. Francis Blvd. N.W. Ramsey, MN 55303' Rabies (canine & feline) $ 2.00 DHLP-P (canine) $ 8.75 Pan RC-C-P (feline) $ 6.00 and WHEREAS, the market price estimate* for these same shots is as follows: Rabies (canine & feline) $10.00, DHLP-P (canine) $22.00 and Pan RC-C-P (feline). (*Prices for the shots given at the clinic vary and include office call and exam); and WHEREAS, following is the prices charged by the City in 1992: Rabies $2.50, DHLP-P $10.00 and Pan RC-C-P $5.85 ~OW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby awards the opportunity to serve as veterinarian for the 1993 Cit3' of Ramsey spring pet clinic to Ramsey Animal Hospital. 2) That two of the three shots bid by the Ramsey Animal Hospital were lower than the other bids received. 3) That the Ramsey Animal Hospital is a Ramsey business. 4) That the pet clinic prices be slightly increased as follows to assist in the cost of Staff time for this event: Rabies $3.00 ($1.00 increase) DHLP-P $10.00 ($1.25 increase) and Pan RC-C- P $7.00 (increase $I.00). The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 23rd day of March, 1993.
