Project #12 - Miscellaneous Improvements <br /> <br />In 1992 the City Council approved the Charitable Gambling Trust Fund as a source of revenue for <br />the parks system. In 1993 the Council set up a policy of matching funds for donations and <br />requests for expenditures from this fund. It is projected that the funds will experience annual <br />$3,000 expenditures. <br /> <br />Project- Miscellaneous <br />Im6rovements <br /> <br />Miscellaneous Improvements <br /> <br />Year Fun ing <br /> <br />Annual $ 3,000 - Charitable Gambling <br /> Fund <br /> <br />$ 3,000 <br /> <br />Project #13 - Rogers Lake, Rum River and Oxbow Districts <br /> <br />Between the 318 acre Anoka County Rum River Central Park at the extreme north edge of Ramsey <br />and the 63 acre River's Bend park on the south edge is over seven miles of the meandering Rum <br />River. Along the corridor are the following parks: Riverwood Hills South [1.5 acres], Brookview <br />North [2.7 acres] and Stanhope River Hills [over 5 acres]. Proposed are improved access [trails], <br />signage, picnic areas, canoe launching/landing and erosion control for these three parks. Also <br />proposed are improved picnic and shelter areas for Rivers Bend. <br /> <br />Project . Rouers Lake. Rum <br />River and O~bow Districts <br /> <br />Rum River Park Improvements <br /> <br />1999 $ 60,000 - LFT <br /> <br />$ 60,000 <br /> <br />Project #14 - Rum River District <br /> <br />It is expected that by the end of the century the property north of 153rd Avenue, west of Roanoke <br />Street and east of T.H. #-47 will be fully developed. Therefore, the existing Woodland Green Park <br />should be expanded with the introduction of tennis/basketball areas and a picnic shelter. <br /> <br />Project - Rum River District Year <br />Woodland Green 1999 <br /> <br />$ 40,000 - Park Trust Fund <br /> <br />$ 40,000 <br /> <br />Project #15 - Lake Itasca District <br /> <br />Forest Hideway is an undeveloped park that needs improved access to improve the area it can <br />serve. Proposed is a trail connection to the Itasca Trail. Development of the park should also be <br />initiated with a tot-lot, tennis court and picnic area. <br /> <br /> <br />
