FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 092-19, 149TH LANE N.W. SEWER, <br />WATER AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br /> By: Steven J. Jankowski, Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Improvement Project ~)2-19 was constructed last summer and the final punch list items have been <br />completed this fall. The contractor is entitled to his retainage which was withheld pending project <br />completion, and in addition is entitled to compensation for additional work itemized in the attached <br />Change Order No. 1. The retainage for the project is $2,672.69 and the change order is <br />$3,505.00. A description of each of the four change order items is presented within the change <br />order along with justification for the contract cost adjustment. The additional costs contained in <br />Change Order No. 1 were anticipated last fall at the time assessments for the project were <br />calculated. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is my opinion that the costs contained in Change Order No. 1 and Final Pay Estimate No. 2 <br />represent fair compensation to the contractor for work performed.
