Mr. Lawrance ~tated that the city i~ obligated to function under ordinances in existence and based on that, should take action regarding Breezy Outdoor's request. Mr. Lawrance also offered his services to participate in the city's review of sign ordinances. Mr. Goodrich stated that prior to taking action, the Commission would need to know the subject that will be advertised on the sign and it must have a substantial relationship to what is on or within 2500 feet of the property. Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman to table Breezy Outdoor, Inc.'s request for a conditional use permit to construct an advertising sign until the applicant has submitted additional information regarding the subject matter to be advertised. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners LaDue, Howell and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holm, Shumway and Terry. Case #4: Request For Conditional Use Permit To Dismantle Buses; Case O~ M~, Ro~er Suter: Mr. Roger Suter was present requesting a conditional use permit to move 14 buses from Hwy. #10 to 14050 Basalt for dismantling; the operation should be complete by May 1. The Commission proceeded to review the proposed findings of fact. Mr. Goodrich stated that he doesn't believe grandfathered uses can be expanded, changed or improved; therefore, the buses removed from the property south of Hwy. #10 could not be replaced. Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Chairman Zimmerman to recommend that City Council adopt the findings of fact, amended as follows, relating to Mr. Roger Suter's request for a conditional use permit: Items #7 and 8 - change references to 'abandoned buses' to 'inoperable buses'. Item #10 - Change to indicate that no more than 15 buses will be moved from the property south of Hwy. ~10 to the subject property. Add Item #21 - Indicating that testimony was received at the public hearing opposing the request. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners LaDue, Hendriksen and Howell. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway, Holm and Terry. The Commission proceeded to review the proposed conditional use permit. Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Howell to recommend approval of Mr. Roger Suter's request for a conditional use permit with the following amendments: Item #1 - Indicate that the permit will expire six months from the date of signing.
