Absent: Commissioners <br /> <br />Case #7: Requ_est For Preliminary Plat Approval Of Juniper Woods:._Case <br /> Q£.Mr. Dick Knutson: <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman stated that Albin Peterson has expressed concern for the <br />maintenance of a previous agreement with the City stating that the <br />extension of sewer and water is intended to serve his property and River's <br />Bend. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that there was an agreement drawn up in 1984 <br />when River's Bend was platted. The City Attorney has reviewed that <br />agreement and it states that the services are intended to serve, but not <br />solely, the Albin Peterson property. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to <br />table preliminary plat approval of Juniper Woods until such time as the <br />Metro Council has made a determination regarding the expansion of Ramsey's <br />1990 Urban Area and a determination has been made regarding allocation of <br />that additional sewer capacity, if it is granted. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Ms. Norris stated that a decision has been made <br />regarding which parcels would receive the additional sewer capacity; <br />Ramsey's proposal to Metro Council specified the areas to be served by the <br />additional capacity gained. Commissioner Hendriksen inquired as to who <br />makes the decision regarding which parcels will be allocated the additional <br />capacity. Ms. Norris replied that Planning and Zoning and City Council <br />make the decision based on Staff recommendations. Commissioner Hendr iksen <br />stated that it was his understanding that the public hearing on the <br />proposed amendement to the 1990 Urban Area was for gathering input and <br />several areas were listed as potential recipients of the additional <br />capacity. Mr. Raatikka stated that all of the areas listed in the public <br />hearing are intended to benefit by the additional capacity received.
