Commission consensus was to amend Item #11 to indicate that the residential <br />structure on the property is currently not occupied. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Holm to <br />delete Item #13 (That the proposed vehicle sales lot will not adversely <br />impair the use of surrounding properties.) from the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman ZJmm~rman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />Holm, Howell and Terry. Voting No: None. ~bsent: Commissioners Shumway <br />and LaDue. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Chairman Zimmerman to add <br />Item #19 to the proposed findings of fact to indicate that the proposed <br />vehicle sales lot is not currently served by adequate road access. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />Howell, Holm and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway <br />and LaDue. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holm and seconded by Commissioner Howell to add Item <br />#20 to the proposed findings of fact to indicate that the proposed vehicle <br />sales lot may not be a recommended use according the Hwy. #10 Corridor <br />study. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />Howell, Holm and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway <br />and LaDue. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holm and seconded by Commissioner Howell to <br />recommend that City Council adopt the findings of fact, as amended~ <br />relating to Mr. Hurd's request for a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zin~uerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />Howell, Holm and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway <br />and LaDue. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holm stated that he would welcome Mr. Hurd and the Powell <br />organization to Ramsey if they developed a car lot similar to their other <br />sites. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holm and seconded by Commissioner Howell to <br />recommend that City Council deny Mr. Hurd's request for a conditional use <br />permit based on the findings of fact and because the proposed use is not <br />consistent with Ramsey's Zoning Chapter and Hwy. #10 Corridor Study, and <br />could increase traffic at a very hazardous intersection. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />Howell, Holm and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway <br />and LaDue. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />The Commission recessed at 8:45 p.m. in order to conduct a continuation of <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission/Jtune 16, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 5 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
