Kris <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Ms. Fluegel is requesting a subdivision to split off <br />a 2.5 acre parcel, on which the house is located, from a 17 acre parcel. <br />Ms. Norris noted that Ms. Fluegel has received preliminary approval for a <br />tax increment project, a dog training facility, on the remaining parcel. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to <br />recommend that City Council approve Ms. Kris Fluegel's request for a metes <br />and bounds subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Shumway, <br />Terry, LaDue, Hendriksen and Howell. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Commissioner Holm. <br /> <br />Case #7: Request For A Conditional Use Permit To Operat~ A Private D~lg <br /> Kennel; Case Of Lawrence And Michele Zangla: <br /> <br />Ms. Zangla noted that the request is not for a commercial kennel license; <br />that she breeds and shows dachshunds; the dogs are kept within the home and <br />there are no out-buildings for the animals; the yard is fenced; she has had <br />the same number of dogs for two years and was not aware a license was <br />required to keep more than two dogs. <br /> <br />Kris Fluegel stated that there were two men present who had concerns with <br />the request; their concerns were addressed in the proposed findings of fact <br />and they left the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Howell to add <br />the following item to the proposed findings of fact. <br /> <br />29. <br /> <br />That the Planning and Zoning Commission acknowledges receipt of <br />letters from Susan and Arlan Hagan and Robert Koch opposing the <br />request for a private kennel license and one person providing <br />comment at the public hearing in favor of the request for a <br />private kennel license. <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission/July 7, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
