Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to <br />delete Item #30 from the proposed findings of fact indicating that the <br />proposed landfill will not involve activities that will be detrimental to <br />the general welfare. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Holm, Shumway and Terry. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to <br />delete Item #31 from the proposed findings of fact regarding whether or not <br />the proposed landfill will be an improvement to property in the vicinity. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. John Shamp of Bladholm Brothers stated that he <br />believes it will be a benefit to the city to have concrete debris left on <br />the property by a former owner disposed of. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Holm, Shumway and Terry. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to amend <br />Item #32 of the proposed findings of fact to indicate that the proposed use <br />will not involve uses, activities, processes, etc. that will be detrimental <br />to property, persons, etc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Shumway and Terry. Voting No: Commissioner Holm. Absent: <br />None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holm and seconded by Commissioner Howell to amend <br />Item #33 of the proposed findings of fact to indicate that the proposed <br />landfill will not be consistent with the intent of the zoning code. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Shumway, Terry and Holm. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Holm to amend <br />Item #34 of the proposed findings of fact to indicate that the applicant <br />has stated that approximately 8,000 cubic yards of waste remain from the <br />previous property owner. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Shumway, Terry and Holm. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Terry and seconded by Commissioner Howell to s~dd <br />Item #40 to the proposed findings of fact indicating that it appears that <br />all of the City's proposed improvements in the subject area (municipal <br />sewer and water and roadways) occur in the southerly 1/3 of the Bladholm <br />site proposed for landfill operations. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Shumway, Terry and Holm.
