Motion by Commissioner Holm and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to <br />recommend that City Council adopt the findings of fact, as amended, <br />relating to Bladholm's request for a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners I{endriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Shumway, Terry and Holm. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Holm to <br />recommend that City Council deny the request for a conditional use permit <br />by Bladholm Brothers. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Holm stated that there is a need for what <br />the applicant has requested but it hurts the City to encourage landfilling <br />and there are too many negative findings; he would have a more favorable <br />view of the request if it were for a shorter term and limited to the <br />northern portion of the subject area with a 10,000 cubic yard limit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Inc.: <br /> <br />The Commission proceeded to review the proposed findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Terry to amend <br />Item #16 of the proposed findings of fact to indicate that 13 of the 23 <br />residences abutting the subject property are owned by Waste Management of <br />Minnesota, Inc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Holm, Shumway and Terry. Voting No: ~one. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Terry to amend <br />Item #25 of the proposed findings of fact to indicate tthat WMMI has stated <br />that borrow operations will maintain a minimum 400 foot setback on the west <br />side and a minimum 200 foot setback from all other adjacent properties. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Holm, Shumway and Terry.
