By: <br /> <br /> REVIEW 1988 PROPOSED PARK BUDGET <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />CASE ~3: <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Chairman Lichter requested information on the 1988 park budget; for your <br />information, enclosed is this budget. The 1988 Requested column represents <br />the proposed 1988 park budget based on recommendations from the Park and <br />Recreation Commission submitted by staff to the Finance Officer. The 1988 <br />Proposed column represents what was submitted by the Finance Officer to the <br />City Council for their consideration. Please note that this budget <br />includes funds to retain Mr. Merland Otto of Hakanson Anderson Associates <br />to assist with park planning. <br /> <br />In addition, the City Council has approved the following: <br /> <br />1. Purchase of a temporary warming house. <br /> <br />2. Increase in pay for skating rink manager position to $5.50/hour and <br /> increase in pay for skating rink supervisor position to $5.00/hour. <br /> <br />Preparation of plans and specifications for a recreational faciity <br />at Central Park and allocation of $85,000 for such a facility. <br /> <br />Capital improvement schedule for athletic facilities at Central and <br />Titterud Parks. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The City Council has not yet adopted the 1988 budget; they are scheduled to <br />do so on January 12, 1988. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Will be based on your discussion. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />X <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer .X <br />Public Works Superintendent __ <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
